This blog is for the primary use of H. Carver's English students at Washougal High School. Parents and guardians, please feel free to explore all of the material at hand. In the freshman year, we travel through a thematic exploration of MAN vs. SELF. Through various media, the class will read, evaluate, and discuss the ever present struggle of self-doubts and personal victory! Welcome to Washougal High School!

Tuesday, Osage Orange Tree
The Osage Orange Tree is a story about finding people among a crowd. It is about making a connection with someone that is special, despite what the outside world is saying. It is also a story about beauty and loss. I hope you enjoy it! The story and questions are located in the assignments section. If you want to pursue an extension, please locate a visual representation of a scene from the story. It can be made by hand, in any medium.
