Research Paper and Deadlines

For Friday, please bring your completed worksheets on MLA, paraphrasing, introduction paragraphs, and MLA print source. You will be checked off for Friday. Over the break, you should have both your introduction paragraph and at least your first body paragraph (childhood) completed. It may be handwritten or typed, but it must contain the in-text parentheticals that we have reviewed in class. For the advanced or the bold, you may continue to type or write your full paper. Please remember your one inch margins, Times New Roman 12 or Calibri 11 font, and double-spacing.

Paraphrasing Facts - Freshman Paper

We have been showcasing the skills of paraphrase this week, and we have highlighted our research articles and color-coded the topics to match the outline. Wednesday, we will use the textbook as our print source, make an MLA citation, and then we will paraphrase all the pertinent information from the book to use in our body of research. Thursday, we will start construction of the introduction paragraph and then the first body paragraph, which will be focused on Poe's strange childhood. From there, you will be responsible to replicate the research writing style for the rest of your body paragraphs. This shall be done over the break.
